Further to their oral presentation and written submission to the Oireachtas Committee on Justice, Equality, Defence and Women’s Rights in March 2006, the Irish Youth Justice Alliance issued these further comments (published on 24 May 2006) on the proposed changes to the Children Act 2001, contained in the Criminal Justice Bill 2004.
