The Children’s Rights Alliance submitted its observations on the Immigration, Residence and Protection Bill 2008, to the Select Committee on Justice, Equality, Defence and Women’s Rights in April 2008. In its submission, the Alliance confines its observations to highlight a number of key omissions from the Bill and then puts forward recommendations in relation to five areas where the Bill could be strengthened to ensure that children’s rights are upheld and that essential child protection measures are put in place.
