This is a submission to the Joint Committee of the Oireachtas on Justice, Equality, Defence and Women’s Rights in relation to the implications of a Supreme Court judgement concerning residency rights of non-national parents of Irish citizen children. It was presented in June 2003 by Raymond Dooley, the then Chief Executive of the Children’s Rights Alliance.
