Report to European Commission: Childcare in Ireland

Start Strong recently made a submission to European Commission, outlining Ireland’s progress in relation to the Country Specific Recommendation on Childcare.

In our submission we note the positive commitments made in Budget 2016 in terms of increased investments in early years, and we call on the Commission to now focus on the need for quality to be at the heart of future childcare provision – going hand-in-hand with affordability and accessibility.
