This is the second presentation to the Joint Committee on the Constitutional Amendment on Children given by Jillian van Turnhout and Maria Corbett – the then Chief Executive and Policy Director of the Children’s Rights Alliance. Taking place on 8 October 2008, they started their presentation by saying: “With the precious time that you have kindly afforded us today, we would like to demonstrate why we believe there is a need for constitutional reform to strengthen children’s rights in Ireland.”
