This paper, compiled by the Children’s Rights Alliance, was produced to mark World Consumer Rights Day on 15 March 2009. It examines junk food, its impact on children’s health; and advertising and its influence on children. The paper provides an analysis of the existing Children’s Advertising Code, and makes recommendations for the new Advertising Code.
