Child Poverty - Campaigns Assistant

Olivia joined the Children’s Rights Alliance in September 2023 as the Child Poverty Campaigns Assistant. Before joining the Alliance team, Olivia was a Mayoral Fellow with the City of Detroit. She was also a Legislative Aide in the Michigan House of Representatives, an intern at the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office, and was thrice a research assistant at both undergraduate and graduate levels, focusing on environmental politics and multinational organisations. Olivia graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Michigan—Dearborn with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science (with a concentration in International and Comparative Politics) and Hispanic Studies (Spanish). She received “University Honours” for eight consecutive semesters and was recognised with over 12 awards and scholarships during her undergraduate studies. Olivia continued her education with a Master of Arts in European Politics and Policy from University College Dublin, and she recently completed a certificate in the Moral Foundations of Politics from Yale.
