Business Development and Membership Manager

Edel joined the Alliance in 2019 and leads out on the strategic development and implementation of the Alliance’s fundraising strategy. Edel holds a BA (Hons) in English and French from NUIG and following corporate experience in the European Commission in Brussels and with Bio-Medical Research in Ireland, began her not for profit career volunteering with GOAL in Sierra Leone, Malawi and India. On returning to Ireland, Edel developed and implemented a Development Education programme for GOAL and then joined the Irish Cancer Society as their Community Fundraising Manager. Together with an amazing team and volunteers from all over Ireland, Edel managed some of the largest fundraising campaigns in the country including Daffodil Day, Pink Ribbon Day and more. With post-graduate qualifications in Child Psychology (QQI) and the Early Bird Training Programme (National Autistic Society, UK.), Edel is passionate about inclusion and children with additional needs.
