Foetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) is considered to be Ireland’s most prevalent neurodevelopmental disorder, with 1 in 10 babies born with a form of FASD today. People living with FASD encounter significant challenges throughout their life. Ireland is the only country in the developed world that does not recognise the condition, which means that many people living with the condition are unaware of why they are different to their peers. FASD Ireland’s mission is to raise awareness of the condition, to lower the prevalence, and provide essential support to children and families living with the condition. We also provide guidance and advice across all facets of society including healthcare, justice, welfare, and education. FASD Hub Ireland is out national telephone helpline available to everyone to call for help, support, and guidance Monday to Friday between 10am and 4pm on 065 670 3098.
