Acclaimed educator Phil Beadle talks to Children's Rights Alliance CEO, Jillian van Turnhout about an education system in the UK that mirrors our own. He slams the system that has ‘dumped and ghettoised’ working-class children and believes that the quality of education is determined by the status that the child is born with. Phil has spent a decade working in a seriously disadvantaged school in London’s east end, producing miraculous results from his students.  He was awarded London Secondary School Teacher of the Year in 2004, going on to win the national title.  Phil has a column with The Guardian on youth, education and government policy. Phil's book 'Could Do Better' is the fastest selling educational advice book of all time, and, most recently, he completed a major documentary series for Channel 4 on adult literacy.
